W’UI’KINUXV TREATY NEWSLETTER-December 17, 2021
Updated: Dec 24, 2021

Yaù!!
All W’ui’kinuxv,
I thank everyone who participated in the 2021 W’ui’kinuxv Treaty Annual General Assembly (AGA) held from November 25th to 27th. The 3-day event had some challenges as it was held over Zoom video, however, it was a success! This was the first time we hosted such a large event in this format.
I give full GIANAKACI to all who made the AGA event a success: The Treaty Team, Impact Resolutions, W’ui’kinuxv Nation Council, Administration Staff and in particular the Donors who came forward. This was greatly appreciated. The three days were only a part of the work that goes into having a successful W’ui’kinuxv Treaty AGA.
Much was shared at the AGA and we will do our best to move the Resolutions and your dialogue forward in a timely manner. I ask that you check out the Nation Website www.wuikinuxv.net for announcements and updates on Treaty and Administrative progress.
We anticipate the AGA Report to be completed in the spring of 2022 when we can have more discussions. We will send the report by mail or e-mail to all W’ui’kinuxv. I ask that you take the time to read the Report and provide your thoughts and ideas back to the Treaty Team and your Family Representatives. This will assist in moving your feedback and ideas forward through interactive talks between us all.
W’ui’kinuxv who attended the AGA are invited to a Zoom meeting to provide feedback and clarification on the November 26-27 House reports. Four two-hour sessions will be held, one per House, from February 1st to 4th, 2022. If you would like to attend your House meeting, please send an email to erin.henderson@impactresolutions.ca with your full name and House.
We will get all prizes out to the winners from the W’ui’kinuxv Prize Wheel and W’ui’kinuxv Treaty Quiz as soon as possible. That was a lot of fun as people scrambled to answer the questions. Thanks again to you all for your answers.
I respect you all for your comments and feedback and look forward to having more in-depth discussions over the coming months.
Wishing everyone happy holidays and a safe journey.
Gianakaci!
Alexander
